Brandon Wilhelmi is a first grade teacher, assistant football coach, and head baseball coach at Springfield Public School. He was a multi-sport athlete that graduated from Springfield in 2004. Following high school, Brandon went on to continue his education at Southwest Minnesota State University. While earning his bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, he was also a member of the SMSU baseball team. As a pitcher, he earned All-Conference and All-Region Awards as a senior. Brandon also received the SMSU Baseball Mustang Award (Most Inspirational). Following his final year of playing college baseball, he was an assistant coach with the team. Brandon taught two years at Lakeview Public School and coached JH baseball and basketball. Brandon took a first grade teaching job in Springfield in 2011. For the past six years, Brandon has been a JV and Varsity coach in the football program coaching special teams, running backs, and linebackers. He served as a JV coach with the baseball program for the past five seasons, and he was the head girls' basketball coach from 2015-2017.
His wife Katie is a Special Education teacher and head softball coach. They live in Springfield with their two children, Blake and Brynn.
