Pat Moriarty has been the High School Principal for the past ten years. During his time at Springfield, Pat has helped coach flag football, summer baseball, and youth basketball camps. Pat graduated from Belle Plaine High School where he lettered and won all-conference awards in football, basketball, and baseball.  Pat continued his athletic career and Mankato State where he began his collegiate career as a defensive end. After his redshirt year, Pat moved to the offensive side of the ball where he played three seasons at tight end. During his senior year, Pat split time between tight end and tackle. During his first teaching job, Pat also coached varsity football at Norwood Young America and helped lead the Raiders to back-to-back state tournament appearances in 2007 and 2008 where they lost to the eventual state champion Caledonia.

Pat serves as the Offensive Line Coach.   During his coaching tenure with the Tigers, the offensive line has paved the way for multiple 1,000 yard rushers and 3,000+ yard passers on their way to three consecutive section titles and state tournament runs.

Pat resides in Springfield and has two boys, Aiden(13) and Max (10).
